UK cops nab LulzSec spokesperson “Topiary”

Scotland Yard has arrested a 19 year-old man accused of being the person behind the handle of LulzSec spokesperson “Topiary”.

Police made the arrest Wednesday at a residential address in the Shetland Islands but have not released his name.

He was being taken to a police station in central London while a search of the residence continued.

A 17 year-old was also questioned but not arrested in connection to its investigation into network intrusions and denial of service attacks on the websites of companies and intelligence agencies.

Topiary claimed to have ran LulzSec’s Twitter account, wrote its press releases and come up with the group’s Lulz Boat motif in a recent interview with The Guardian

If he was ever arrested he would “never snitch” on other members of LulzSec, he said.
