RSA Conference Security Report Round Up

Visit a security-focused conference and it’s a sure bet that several vendors will be spruiking their latest security report. This year's RSA Conference was not exception.

We take a look at some of the reports and see if there's anything new that CSOs and CIOs need to be aware of.

The 'FireEye Advanced Threat Report: 2013' points out that the ten countries that were most frequently targeted by APTs in 2013 were the USA, South Korea, Canada, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia and Israel. The preferred vector for launching attacks was malicious web traffic rather that email. FireEye's rationale for this is that users are becoming far smarter at detecting and deflecting phishing attacks.
