ISACA Oceania CACS 2017

ISACA

Date: 11th September 2017  — 12th September 2017

The OceaniaCACS conference is the annual conference of ISACA within the Oceania region. ISACA’s constituency is characterised by its diversity. Its community includes a variety of professional IT-related positions—some of which include IS auditor, consultant, educator, IS security professional, risk professional, chief information officer and internal auditor. Some are new to the field, others are at middle management levels and still others are in the most senior ranks. ISACA constituents work in nearly all industry categories, including financial and banking, public accounting, government and the public sector, utilities and manufacturing.

While a technology conference, OceaniaCACS traditionally has a business focus, addressing the risk to the business and the solutions that can be adopted within organisations facing the accelerating impact of technology driven change. The conference is well respected as a valuable and enjoyable networking opportunity bringing together not only ISACA members but others in senior governance, risk and assurance positions who are seeking to understand issues and find solutions in the area of technology risk and assurance. The attendees are often uniquely placed to influence strategic and purchasing decisions in respect to risk within organisations.

The 2017 Conference will be held in Canberra allowing an opportunity for sponsors to showcase their products and services to the important government sector. The event always attracts attendees from all Australian States but also from New Zealand, PNG and Asia. The 2017 conference will be held in the springtime in Canberra, one of the best times of the year to visit this beautiful unique small city, which is increasingly moved from being a considered a dull political, public service town to be a food and wine destination with easy access from the larger Australian states. With the arrival of direct international flights from Singapore and New Zealand, it is anticipated that the always present New Zealand and Asian contingent will increase.
